Does Intel promote wimax?
We're a small regional wimax/wifi provider and wanted to use these fancy combined Wlan/Wimax Cards from Intel. It is not possible!
Intel locked their cards with their software to some bigger Providers and does not open it for the smaller ones. So I have Basestations in my town, I have a wimax Equiped Laptop but I have to use a USB Dongle to go online.
As WiMAX is getting the preferred standard for vertical markets and small Providers it is no good that a vendor shows this behavior.
Maybe someone at Intel is listening!
